Doris M Farndale, daughter of
Elizabeth Farndale (FAR00654)
before Elizabeth married, was born in Loftus
on 11 November 1914 (1939
Register). Her birth was registered in Guisborough
District in the fourth quarter of 1914 (GRO Vol 9D
Page 849). Elizabeth later married Robert Shaw and Doris became Robert’s
step daughter.

Smith in 1940 and their marriage was registered in the second quarter of 1940
at Northallerton District (GRO Vol 9d page 1870).
Joseph Ward Smith was the son of
Ninian Smith (1879 to 1956) and Elizabeth Agnes (nee Lee) Smith (1871 to 1952)
and was born at Romanby on 22 November 1912.
1982
Joseph Ward Smith died at Romanby on 30 October 1982 (Probate
Index).
1986
Doris May Smith died aged 73 on 22
October 1986 and buried at Linthorpe Cemetery, Middlesbrough on 27 October 1986 (GRO Vol 3 page 2060).
