Census) and baptised at Thornaby on 5 March 1899 (Thornaby PR). They lived at 11 Skinner Steel,
Thornaby. Sarah Farndale’s birth was registered in Middlesborough
District in the first quarter of 1899 (GRO Vol 9d
page 625).

(1895 to 1974), 26 at St Paul’s, Thornaby on Tees on 6 January 1923 (Marriages and Banns). Her father, Thomas Farndale
was a labourer and William’s father John Craggs was a farmer. William Craggs
was a joiner and Sarah was a domestic servant.
Kenneth William
Craggs, the son of John (1857 to 1914) and Mary Ann Craggs, was baptised at
Bolton on Swale on 15 March 1896, where he grew up. He served in the Royal
Field Artillery in the First World War.
