1552
If George was
about 30 when he married, he might have been born in about 1552. He may have
been a son of William Farndale ( FAR00059A).
1582
George Farndale married Alice Graye on 25 November
1582 (Campsall Parish Registers, Doncaster Archives
P15/1/1A). The name has been transcribed in the modern index as George Standale, but the original suggests it is more likely to be
the common contemporaneous spelling Georgins fferndale.

George and
Alice seem to have had a son and daughter, John Farndale (FAR00063C) and Agnes Farndale (FAR00063D), who died five days apart in 1584. This suggests
they may have died in very young infancy of some common disease, or may have
been twins who died at or shortly after birth.
George was
described as of Moss, near Campsall.

1597
George
Farndale’s wife, presumably still Alice, died on 16 March 1597 (Campsall Parish Registers, Doncaster Archives P15/1/1A).

1610
If George lived into his sixties, he might have lived
until 1610 or later.
