Gladys Farndale,
daughter of William and Mary (nee Coverdale) Farndale (FAR00665), was
born in 1926 and his birth was registered in Thirsk
District in the fourth quarter of 1926 (GRO Vol 9D
Page 656).
Northallerton
1949
Gladys Farndale,
married Joseph Leslie (“Leslie”) Craven in 1949 and their marriage was
registered in the second quarter of 1949 in Northallerton (GRO
Vol 1b page 1703). Leslie Craven was the son of Arthur W Craven
(1898 to 1929) and Maria (nee Smedley) Craven (1896 to 1991) and was
born on 24 September 1925.
1951
They had a
daughter, Joan Craven who was born in 1951.
1954
Their son, Brian
Craven, was born in 1954.
1990
Joseph Leslie
Craven died on 4 April 1990 (Probate Index)
aged 64 and his death was registered in Northallerton in April 1990 (GRO Vol 2 page 2118).
2018
Gladys Craven
died on 8 October 2018 aged 92 (obituary).

Home. Beloved wife of the late Leslie, loving mother of Joan and Brian. A much
loved and missed grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Service to
celebrate the life of Gladys to take place at Northallerton Methodist Church at
11.45am on Friday, October 19.
