Alice Hall, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (nee Godwin) Hall (HAL00087), was born in 1843 and baptised on 6 October 1843 (St Giles Newcastle under Lyme Parish Records). Her birth was registered in the fourth quarter of 1843 in Newcastle under Lyme (GRO Staffordshire, Vol 17, Page 92).

Alice Hall married Rev William Woodward Mills of Cromer, a clerk, at the Anglican Church of St George, Newcastle under Lyme, on 7 May 1868 (St George, Newcastle under Lyme Parish Records).

On the 7^th instant, at St George’s, Newcastle under Lyme, by the Rev J S Broad MA, incumbent, assisted by the Rev J T Jeffcock MA, vicar of Wolstanton, the Rev W W Mills, MA, eldest son of Henry James Mills Esq of Trinidad, West Indies, to Alice, second daughter of Henry Hall Esq, JP, Pitfield House, Newcastle under Lyme (Staffordshire Advertiser, 9 May 1868).

1870

Their son, Henry Percival Mills was baptised on 3 October 1870.

1872

Their daughter, Alice Maud Mills, was baptised on 11 January 1872.

1873

Their son, William Wilmot Mills, was baptised on 28 February 1873.

1876

Their daughter, Jesse Hall Mills, was baptised on 4 February 1876.

Alice Mills died (presumably in childbirth) on 4 February 1876 at Empingham, Norfolk, aged 32. She was buried at Aylmerton, Norfolk on 11 February 1876 (GRO Volume 4B page 44).
