Cecil Herbert Langdale Farndale, son of Robert and Sarah (nee Samuels) Farndale (FAR00455), was born in Chester on 27 July 1916 (1939 Register). His birth was registered in Chester District, Cheshire in the third quarter of 1916 (GRO Vol 8A Page 634).

His name Langdale was taken from his grandmother’s maiden name.

Cecil H L Farndale, died age 25 at Chester District in the third quarter of 1940 (DR).

He died on 22 September 1940 and is buried at Overleigh New Cemetery, Chester
