husband of Jane (nee Simpson) Burnett, died on 2 November 1767 and is
buried at Bourtie Kirkyard, Kirkton of Bourtie (Monumental Record).

52;JANE SIMPSON spouse of ROBERT BURNETT, dau. of
PETER SIMPSON late in Kendal d. 10 Mar. 1796 aged 78; THOMAS BURNETT son of
ROBERT BURNETT School Master in this parish for about 35 yrs d. Mar. 1806 aged
61; JAMES BRUCE late crofter in Gowner, son-in-law of
ROBERT BURNETT who was clerk in the Episcopal Chapel of Old Meldrum about 34
yrs died 23 June 1842 aged 79; his spouse MARY BURNETT sister of the said PETER
BURNETT d. 4 Jan. 1847 aged 84; his son JAMES BRUCE Bogota, South America d. 12
Sept. 1856 aged 57.
