William Mangnall Baker was the son
of John Bellyse and Richmal (nee Mangnall) Baker (BAK00151).
He was born on 22
August 1890 and baptised at Audlem on
1 November 1890 (Audlem Parish Records).
William was educated at
Christ's Hospital School.
He became secretary of a
banking company and lived latterly at Old
Colwyn, Denbighshire, with his two sisters.

Annie died in 1954. At the church
in Audlem, the Chalice, dating from 1725, was originally regimental, but
added inscriptions reveal that it was presented to Audlem as follows: “To the
glory of God and in loving and grateful memory of Annie Mary Baker died 9
September 1954” and “The gift of her husband William Mangall Baker”. (Latham,
Frank (1997), Audlem: The History of a Cheshire Parish and its seventeen
townships, page 74).
1961
William died on 24 November
1961 at Aled, Denbighshire, Wales and his will was
proved on 12 February 1962, estate £6,505.
