1939

1939 Register – 2 Crossfield, Greengate Lane, Knaresborough

Annie Farndale, born 21 January 1900 (sic), single, housekeeper. The year given in the Register must be an error. It is likely that she had her birthday right, and other census records suggest she was born in 1895.

1973

Annie Farndale died in the fourth quarter of 1973 at Barkston Ash, Her birth date is given as 21 January 1899, which is inconsistent and doesn’t reconcile with census records. So guessing she may have got birth day right, but year wrong?

Garforth and Barkston Ash are all close to Wetherby, so probably her.
