William Farndale shown as the head, a widower, aged 68, living at 138 Blackfern Lodge. A retired shepherd who was born in Bishop Wilton.

 

He lived at Black Fern Lodge, and the only other person registered is his daughter, Margaret Farndale, aged 30, born at South Lodge, Aberford

 

So George had left home by 1891

George Farndale died, aged 75, at Wetherby District in the second quarter of 1940.

 

1946

A Minnie Farndale, died age 58 at Holderness District in the first quarter of 1946. But George was widowed by 1939 so this was probably not George’s wife.
