Ernest Farndale, son of Matthew and Mary Ann Farndale of Craggs Hall (FAR00383) was born in Brotton District in 1889. Ernest Farndale’s birth was registered in Guisborough District in the first quarter of 1889 (GRO Vol 9d page 468).

Ernest Farndale, died, aged 24, at Brotton District. The death was registered in the fourth quarter of 1913. He was buried on 3 December 1913 at St Peter, Brotton. (DR)

Gravestone: “In loving memory of Ernest, beloved son of Matthew and Mary Farndale of Craggs Hall, died 30th November 1913 aged 24 years. Also the above named Mary Ann Farndale, died 4th November 1933 aged 77 Years.”  (Mon R)
