Hannah Farndale, daughter of William and Sarah Farndale (FAR00257), was born on 16 July 1864 (1939 Register) and baptised at Egton on 28 August 1864 (Whitby BR & IGI). Hannah Farndale’s birth was registered in Whitby District in the third quarter of 1864 (GRO Vol 9d page 399)

Hannah Farndale, daughter of William Farndale, a labourer, married Robert Heywood on 13 October 1883. She was 19, he was 22 and a clogger by trade. He was from Montgomeryshire, she was from Egton.

Hannah’s daughter, Annie married Wallace Ainslie in 1916. Her middle name was Farndale.

On August 7th, at St Leonard’s Church, Loftus, by the Rev C Ramsden (Rector), Wallace James, only son of the late Inspector and Mrs J Ainslie RTC, Berwick, to Annie Farndale, second daughter of Mr and Mrs R Heywood, Cliff Crescent, Loftus, Yorkshire.
